Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to join the Linden, MI location to support store operations and team development.

You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure a clean, welcoming shopping environment while upholding company policies and procedures. This role reports to the Store Manager and focuses on developing staff and driving service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain store areas to company standards, including clean shelves and stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
• Responsible for store cleanliness and restocking areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
