Job summary

RiseMe in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Store Operations Manager to oversee operational support functions, working with the management team to implement store programs, control expenses, and maximize customer service and operational performance.

The role requires coordinating receiving, stocking, front-end operations, payroll management, and training to ensure efficient store operation and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Hazardous Material (HazMat) training within 90 days of hire per Department of Transportation regulations.
• Total of 5 years consisting of general and specialized experience in administrative, supervisory, managerial, professional, or technical work.
• General Experience: 3 years in administrative, professional, investigative, or other responsible work with knowledge of management practices and the ability to interact well with others.
• Substitution of Education for Experience: 1 year of academic study may substitute for 9 months of experience, up to a 4 year bachelor’s degree for 3 years of general experience.
• Specialized Experience: 2 years of progressively responsible experience showing knowledge of management principles and retail/service merchandising principles.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates store receiving, stocking, customer service, accounting, and front end operations.
• Audits policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness of operations.
• Supervises associates engaged in a variety of functions (accounting, janitorial, customer service, etc.).
• Coordinates staffing requirements and training programs; develops schedules and monitors payroll expenses.
• Receives and handles customer complaints and resolves issues; identifies opportunities to improve service.
• Ensures efficient operation of receiving and stock replenishment functions.
• Prepares reports on controllable expenses (payroll, supplies, janitorial); manages expenses to budget and trends.
• Coordinates and manages store maintenance and housekeeping requirements.
