Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Canton, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and participate in opening/closing procedures.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork, experience in retail management preferred, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks typical of retail work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for store front.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
