Job summary

Fiesta Mart is seeking a Utilities Clerk at Store 008 Houston-Wirt Road to help maintain a clean, safe environment and assist customers on the store floor. This role supports daily store operations, bagging groceries upon request and helping customers carry items as needed.

Ideal candidates read and write Spanish and English, follow simple instructions, and communicate clearly with customers and teammates. Basic PC/Outlook skills are preferred; physical duties include lifting up to 60 pounds and

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish and English.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to follow detailed written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the proper maintenance of the store, particularly in the Produce Department.
• Guide customers on the store floor as needed.
• Properly bag groceries for customers when requested.
• Carry out groceries for customers if required.
• Retrieve and maintain store carts, run price checks, assist with go-backs, keep the check stand up to date, and remove waste from the parking area.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 60 pounds; standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory tasks are also required.
