Job summary

Fiesta Mart is seeking a Utilities Clerk at Store 020 Houston-Willowbrook to assist in proper store maintenance, especially Produce, and help customers on the floor.

The role involves bagging groceries, carrying groceries, retrieving carts, price checks, go-backs, check stand upkeep, and waste removal from the parking area; physical duties include lifting and standing.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and coworkers.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in proper store maintenance, especially in Produce, and help customers on the floor.
• Bag groceries and carry out groceries for customers; maintain and retrieve store carts.
• Run price checks and assist with go-backs and check stand upkeep.
• Remove waste from the parking area.
• Work in a fast-paced grocery environment with required physical activity.
