Job summary

Bassett Furniture in Tampa seeks a Store Operations Administrator to support daily store functions, assist design consultants with order entry and cash handling, and ensure excellent customer service.

You will coordinate deliveries, follow up on service issues, and help manage petty cash, reconciliations, and store procedures in line with Bassett standards. This is an entry-level, hourly role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is a plus, but not required.
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Organizational and time-management abilities.

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Teamwork and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong communication with customers, coworkers and management.
• Proficiency in reading/writing English.
• Experience with Windows-based software (Word, Excel).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasional overhead reaching.

Responsibilities

• Assist design consultants with order entry and cash management.
• Assist ordering parts for customers (arms, legs, hardware).
• Manage petty cash reconciliation and cash drawer balancing.
• Audit daily transaction reports and assist with sales order entry.
• Resolve post-purchase service concerns with customers.
• Schedule deliveries and service calls, conduct satisfaction surveys.
• Process service orders and communicate status to customers.
• Receive purchase orders for parts or store pickups.
• Maintain store expense control and inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with HR, distribution centers, visual team, and accounting.
• Support floor moves and ensure adherence to floor set and visuals.
• Tag new merchandise and update tags as needed.
