Job summary

Forman Mills Inc in Philadelphia is seeking a Merchandise Manager to lead merchandising operations for assigned departments. You will drive department layouts, product features, ads, markdowns, inventory flow, and loss prevention while serving as MOD when Store Manager is absent.

The role requires 3–5 years in retail management, strong leadership and people skills, and the ability to train staff, monitor budgets, and ensure exceptional customer service and presentation across the store.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, College Degree Preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years of Management, Operations and Merchandising Experience within a Big Box organization.
• Job Related Skills: Financial and Retail Management skills with experience building and motivating a high performing team.
• High Energy, Hands on Leader.
• Excellent People Skills.
• Computer Skills: POS Software and Equipment, Kronos (Time and Attendance), Outlook, Word/Excel, Alarm System, DVR Surveillance System, Calculator.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed budgeted sales daily and drive KPIs for the assigned departments.
• Organize and direct daily activities including department merchandising, ad sets, product flow, and loss prevention.
• Train and develop Department Leads and team members.
• Open and close the store per company direction when assigned.
• Assist with staffing and HR-related tasks within assigned areas.
• Evaluate, counsel and discipline personnel in partnership with Store Manager.
• Ensure flawless execution of company initiatives (ad sets, markdowns, freight processing, detail recovery, weekend readiness).
• Deter theft by maintaining a visible management presence and providing positive customer service.
