Job summary

Forman Mills in Philadelphia is seeking a Merch Manager responsible for all merchandising operations across assigned departments. You will oversee department layouts, signage, product features, and floor plan adherence, ensuring stocking and promotional setups align with daily memos.

You will drive sales, reduce shrink, train department leads, and act as MOD in absence of Store Manager, with HR duties as needed, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining presentation standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of management, operations and merchandising experience in a big-box environment.
• Strong leadership and ability to recruit and develop top performers.
• High energy, hands-on leadership and excellent people skills.
• Proficient with POS systems, Kronos, Outlook and Microsoft Office.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs, occasional 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed budgeted sales and KPIs daily.
• Direct daily activities of assigned departments including merchandising, stock flow and loss prevention.
• Train and develop department leads and staff.
• Open or close store as required.
• Assist with staffing and HR paperwork.
• Ensure flawless execution of company initiatives (ad sets, markdowns, freight, detail recovery, weekend readiness).
• Maintain outstanding customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Deter theft by maintaining presence and customer service.
