Job summary

Forman Mills in Milwaukee is seeking a Merchandise Manager to oversee merchandising operations across assigned departments, ensuring layouts, signage, and product flow align with company standards.

You will lead department leads and staff, drive daily sales, manage inventory, loss prevention, and customer service, and act as manager on duty when the Store Manager is away. This role requires 3–5 years in retail management and a hands-on leadership style.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of management, operations and merchandising in a big-box setting.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience driving KPIs such as sales, shrink and turnover.
• High energy, hands-on leader.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed budgeted sales and drive KPIs.
• Direct daily activities within departments including merchandising and ad sets.
• Train and develop department leads and staff.
• Open and close the store per direction.
• Assist admin in staffing and hiring.
• Evaluate and counsel staff with Store Manager.
• Ensure flawless execution of company initiatives (ads, markdowns, freight, detail recovery, weekend readiness).
• Ensure outstanding customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Communicate policies and procedures to staff.
• Audit operational controls and deter theft by presence.
