Job summary

Michaels in Oswego, IL is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets and visual standards. Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, maintaining store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage for floor leadership, service standards and continuity.
• Lead truck execution: unloading, sorting and flow of merchandise to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment.
• Oversee Planogram execution to ensure sets are completed on schedule.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation per company expectations.
• Support a clean, organized, customer-ready store environment including backroom and sales floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring product accuracy and efficient stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant, customer-focused signage and placement.
• Complete price changes accurately across floor and systems.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and ensure accurate picking, packing and shipping.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper inventory adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train, coach and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
