Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Merchandise Manager who will drive merchandising and operational execution in a fast-paced store environment. You will oversee truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to ensure pricing integrity and promotional accuracy.

You will provide MOD coverage, support store leadership with staffing, and lead in-stock optimization and backroom organization. A successful candidate will train and develop teammates and uphold asset protection practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Strong inventory control and planogram execution skills.
• Commitment to pricing integrity and timely promotions.
• Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment, standing and lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting, and flow to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization (SISO) routines to improve stock levels.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Ensure accurate pricing and timely promotional execution across departments.
• Maintain clean, organized backroom and sales floor with recovery efforts.
• Manage inventory control and shrink reduction efforts; handle RTVs/ASN as required.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding.
