Michaels in KC-SHAWNEE, KS is hiring a Merchandise Manager to lead merchandising and store operations, drive truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

You will ensure accurate pricing, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store through strong planning and inventory control. This role requires 3+ years retail leadership and hands-on leadership in a busy store environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading retail teams and store operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOP adherence and Company programs to ensure compliance.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards with accountability.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee truck execution, sorting and flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Maintain SISO routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain backroom organization and a customer-ready environment.
• Manage inventory control, product accuracy, and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets, pricing changes, and promotional signage.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and RTV/ASN processes.
• Support shrink reduction and Asset Protection practices.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
