Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in the U.S. state of Missouri seeks a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planograms, and visual standards.

You will lead workload planning with store leadership to align staffing and execution to business needs and ensure pricing integrity. Responsibilities include in-stock optimization, planogram execution, and maintaining a customer-ready store environment through strong leadership

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of SOPs and company programs.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance.
• Ensure execution of policies, maintaining store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution, ensuring timely merchandising sets.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
• Support a clean, organized store environment including backroom and floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, accuracy, integrity, and stock movement.
• Execute promotional ad sets with proper signage and placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time across floor and systems.
• Oversee Ship-from-Store fulfillment and RTV/ASN receiving.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing coaching.
• Partner to maintain Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
