Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in different store areas are helpful.
• Strong communication to provide clear direction.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze financial information to make decisions.
• Mentor team members and promote safe working practices.
• Certifications completed as required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in daily store operations.
• Mentors and coaches team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and store sales.
• Maintains store appearance aligned with company standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning and career development.
• Documents disciplinary actions and makes recommendations for discharge.
• Oversees P&L, sales targets, and shrink control.
• Ensures team is trained and spends time engaging with customers.
• Promotes the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
• Maintains a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
