Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Merchandise Manager to lead store operations, drive top-line sales, and ensure efficient payroll and scheduling. The role requires hands-on leadership of a team, adherence to company procedures, and a focus on guest service excellence.

The MM will oversee tasks from shipments to replenishment and omni-channel activities, fostering development and ensuring financial performance through strong people and process management.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of fast-paced, retail management or related work experience.
• Financial management: ability to drive top-line sales, read reports, manage payroll budgets, control expenses.
• Retail management: monitor inventory, execute merchandising directives, deliver service culture.
• Leadership: attract, develop, motivate a team, adapt to change, influence others.

Responsibilities

• Promote accountability to meet store goals for sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and shrink.
• Drive profitability through operational excellence and top-line sales growth.
• Use forecast and budgets to schedule staff and manage workload within payroll constraints.
• Review store financials, audits, and performance metrics regularly and take action.
• Lead by example to coach associates and drive a guest-focused experience.
