Job summary

Rocky’s Ace Hardware in Walpole, Massachusetts is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily retail operations and merchandising while ensuring helpful customer service and achievement of store goals.

You will oversee payroll, safety, inventory, scheduling, training, and performance reviews, coordinating with the Merchandising team and the District Manager to drive sales and store efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze changes that affect store operations and goals and implement adjustments to meet targets
• Direct the retail operations of the store within company guidelines
• Establish department and store sales goals
• Ensure store safety and security and provide a safe environment for customers and employees
• Oversee payroll to meet financial goals
• Report maintenance and safety issues promptly
• Maintain accurate inventory with minimal shrink
• Hire and train employees for maximum efficiency across departments
• Develop and maximize employee talents through training
• Supervise Assistant Store Manager(s) and Key Holder(s)
• Oversee scheduling of all departments, staff, promotions, transfers and terminations
• Manage vacations, holiday and sick leave schedules
• Resolve employee conflicts and report harassment/EEO issues to DM and HR
• Schedule and conduct monthly store meetings
• Complete annual performance reviews in a timely and accurate manner
• Coordinate with Merchandising on price, margins, and current inventory levels
• Create in-store traffic-building campaigns
• Adjust personnel and inventory for advertising and promotions
• Oversee inventory receipt and ensure store appearance for optimal sales
• Maintain daily/weekly company checklists to ensure completion
• Maintain supplier relationships as needed
• Resolve customer claims and complaints promptly and courteously
• Authorize refunds per company policy
• Process weekly hot sheets and price adjustments with timely bin tagging
• Attend management and training meetings and conventions
• Participate in local civic affairs
• Delegate maintenance of defective merchandise claims
• Maintain safe opening and closing procedures
• Other responsibilities as assigned by District Manager.

Position Summary:

This position will insure that all team members are delivering Helpful Customer Service to every customer.

• Oversee inventory shipment and receivingMaintain store appearance and equipment to insure maximum sales efficiency
• Oversee all daily and weekly company checklists (daily opening and closing, game changers, weekly safety checklists, and forklift safety checklists) to ensure they are completed.
• Maintain good contact with suppliers as needed
• Resolve customer claims and complaints in a manner that is timely, courteous and discreet
• Authorize refunds in a manner that is consistent with company policy
• Work with the processing of weekly hot sheets and price adjustments ensuring store bin tagging completed in a timely manner
• Attend management and training meeting and conventions as needed
• Participate in local civic affairs
• Delegate maintenance of defective merchandise claims
• Maintain safe opening and closing procedures

Other responsibilities as assigned by District Manager.
