Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is launching a Store Manager Trainee (SMT) program in Kentucky. The SMT will participate in Farmers Academy training, Thrive rotations, and live events while supporting day-to-day store operations and sales processes.

Successful trainees may be placed into a permanent Store Manager role based on performance, availability, and company needs, with potential travel to multiple training locations as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years of practical supervisory retail or sales experience.
• Valid State Driver’s License and ability to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Complete all Farmers Academy training, Thrive rotations, and live training events.
• Support daily store operations, including sales, credit, and inventory.
• Operate POS systems and handle customer payments.
• May manage a store location in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Travel to training locations as required.
• Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
