Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture offers a Store Manager Trainee (SMT) program designed to develop well‑rounded store leaders through in‑store training, Thrive program rotations, and live events. Trainees will progressively learn all major store operations while supporting daily store functions in assigned training locations.

Upon successful completion, SMT graduates may be placed into a permanent Store Manager position based on needs and readiness; travel between training locations may be required along

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Three years of supervisory retail and/or sales experience.
• Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and be able to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Completes Farmers Academy training, Thrive rotations, live training events, and required documentation.
• Supports daily store operations including sales, credit, collections, warehouse, delivery, bookkeeping, and general office tasks.
• Operates POS systems, computes installments, collects payments, and processes approvals.
• Assists with inventory counts, store displays, promotions, and sales events.
