Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is offering a Store Manager Trainee (SMT) Program designed to develop capable store leaders through in-store training, Thrive rotations, live events, and online learning. Trainees will support daily store operations at assigned training locations while completing Farmers Academy training and program milestones.

The program emphasizes delivering operational readiness for Store Manager responsibilities with potential responsibilities in multiple stores and travel to training

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years experience in practical supervisory retail and/or sales experience, or an equivalent combination of training, experience and education.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License and must be able to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily store operations including sales, credit, collections, warehouse, delivery, bookkeeping, and general office functions.
• Operates and demonstrates proficiency in the Company’s point of sale systems, computer applications, and operational tools.
• Sells merchandise, creates sales and installment contracts, takes customer payments, and assists with account approvals.
• Assists with inventory counts, store displays, special promotions, and sales events.
