Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is launching a Store Manager Trainee (SMT) Program designed to train individuals sponsored by the Home Office to become permanent Store Managers. Trainees will receive in-store and online learning, role-based immersion, and live training events across designated locations.

The SMT focuses on developing well-rounded leaders through hands-on operations, training rotations, and performance assessments, with eventual placement based on readiness, needs, and geography.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years experience in practical supervisory retail and/or sales experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License and must be able to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Participates in required training and live events.
• Supports daily store operations including sales, credit, collections, and bookkeeping.
• Operates POS systems and sales tools; processes transactions and approvals.
• Assists with inventory, displays, promotions, and events.
• May work in multiple locations and travel as needed.
