Job summary

You will shadow the Store Manager, gain experience in merchandising, scheduling, inventory, and loss prevention, and prepare for a Store Manager role through formal development plans with district leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.

Responsibilities

• Learn Walgreens’ operations to lead full store operations (front-end and pharmacy) and complete accelerated development to Store Manager.
• Oversee the operation of the store under the Store Manager’s direction and shadow the Store Manager during the learning journey.
• Engage customers and patients, resolve complaints, and model customer service best practices.
• Shadow Store Manager to gain experience supervising store operations, merchandising, and shifts.
• Learn to analyze financial and performance data to drive sales and manage costs.
