Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to assist the Store Manager in implementing store processes, supervising employees, and managing inventory, staffing, and store needs. This role is designed to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position for a limited period.

Key responsibilities include recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, order fulfillment, and ensuring cashier accountability and store security.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing of merchandise.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and scanning.
• Follow prescribed ordering to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Attend store opening/closing activities and security procedures.
• Help maintain clean, safe store environment and proper paperwork.
