Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Manager Trainee in Texas to learn the Store Manager duties while developing leadership, sales, and inventory skills. You will contribute to a Legendary Customer Experience, build a strong team, manage inventory, and help drive profit and store performance.

Qualifications

• Experience: Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Education: High school diploma, Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural-Science or Business related field preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, hiring, developing, evaluating, disciplining, and retaining efficient team members.
• Delivering Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, uncover needs, recommend solutions, add value, and show appreciation.
• Create a welcoming store environment and reflect DEI across team, customers, and communities.
• Schedule, organize, and plan daily activities for team members.
• Lead team to ensure a Legendary shopping experience that differentiates from competitors.
• Communicate processes and policies; coordinate with District/Regional Managers to improve effectiveness.
• Learn to create a desirable work environment through promotions, recognition, and empowerment.
• Problem solving and conflict resolution for team members and customers.
• Learn sales and profit management; be accountable for top and bottom lines.
