Job summary

FirstCash is seeking a Store Manager Trainee in Birmingham, AL. This role targets individuals with 6+ months of store management experience and offers a path toward Store Manager.

You will support daily store operations, develop staff, drive sales, manage loans and inventory, and promote a customer-centric environment. The position emphasizes hands-on training, leadership development, and a compensation plan that includes hourly wages plus commission based on productivity and store performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Store Manager Trainee requires 6+ months of Store Management experience.
• Willing to work 45+ hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• Must lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Foster a customer-centric environment and address customer issues.
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company channels.
• Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, protect assets.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control and proper procedures.
• Manage inventory, loans, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
• Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability.
