Job summary

Walgreens is offering an accelerated Store Manager development program designed to equip trainees with in-depth knowledge of both front-end and pharmacy operations. You will shadow the Store Manager, complete classroom and on-the-job training, and rotate through multiple stores to meet learning objectives.

The program emphasizes compliance SOPs, staff development, and performance analytics, with a route to permanent Store Manager placement upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to accept assignment into a Store Manager position, if an assignment is offered.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.
• Preferred: PTCB Certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree.
• Preferred: managerial experience with another employer in a Retail Store/Hospitality Manager or Retail Store/Hospitality Assistant Manager capacity.

Responsibilities

• Learns all aspects of the Store Manager role and leads operations under the Store Manager’s direction.
• Participates in accelerated development plan and rotations across front-end and pharmacy.
• Supports learning journey by shadowing and assisting in store leadership tasks.
