Job summary

ALDI Minneapolis Store Manager Trainee program invites you to lead store operations, develop teams, and drive results in a fast-paced retail setting. You will work alongside associates, learn inventory control, merchandising, and customer service while preparing to run a store with hands-on leadership and comprehensive training.

The role offers a starting wage of $33.50 per hour, full-time hours, and a potential year-one earnings range of approximately $99,500–$120,000 including bonus where

Qualifications

• Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication that enhances the performance of direct reports.
• Ability to work independently and within a team to provide effective leadership of store personnel.
• Ability to understand and apply management principles to achieve store goals and compliance.
• Ability to perform leadership and administrative duties.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate store equipment and perform operational tasks to standard.
• Ability to facilitate group involvement during meetings.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external parties.
• Ability to establish and execute plans and goals.
• Ability to use ALDI-provided technology as required.
• May handle and sell alcoholic beverages following state/local requirements.
• May obtain ServSafe certification or other applicable certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop store personnel; communicate responsibilities and performance expectations.
• Develop and implement action plans using company resources to improve results.
• Oversee resolution of employee and customer concerns with district manager support.
• Interview candidates and make recommendations for advancement.
• Manage personnel decisions including promotions and terminations.
• Collaborate with ALDI staff, customers, vendors, and partners.
• Lead the team to drive sales and high performance while embodying company values.
• Ensure compliance with policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Plan meetings and conduct store team and management meetings.
• Train and develop staff using provided materials.
• Maintain safe working environment and equipment in good order.
• Prepare and revise weekly schedules; manage expenses and inventory procedures.
