Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Store Manager to oversee the operation of the Walgreens store and pharmacy, focusing on sales growth, asset protection, merchandising, and delivering a distinctive customer and patient experience.

The role involves supervising shifts, cash handling, inventory, hiring, training, and ensuring compliance with laws and company policies, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience, or a HS diploma with 5 years of retail management.
• Licensed pharmacy technician per state requirements OR licensed RPh when possible per state law.
• Willingness to work extended days, evenings and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervises store and pharmacy operations including opening/closing shifts and scheduling.
• Manages store money controls including registers, bank deposits and cash reports.
• Oversees merchandising, inventory management and stock liquidation to avoid outs and overstock.
• Ensures compliance with laws and company policies; hires and develops team.
• Provides training and coaching to team members and ensures clear communication.
