Qualifications

• Ability to operate a cash register to generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies (deposits, keys, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees and ensures proper staffing.
• Provides training, conducts evaluations, and counsels on performance gaps.
• Makes recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations; leads meetings.
• Ensures store is staffed and opened/closed regularly.
• Evaluates operating statements for sales, profitability, and trends.
• Manages ordering and inventory planning; reviews BSR and cycle counts.
• Facilitates staging, stocking, and storage of merchandise per company processes.
• Maintains merchandise presentation, pricing, signage and fixtures.
• Maintains accurate inventory, controls damages and shrink, handles paperwork.
• Upholds cash control, cashier accountability, and security practices.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership.
• Keeps store clean, safe, and well organized; ensures equipment availability.
• Follows SOPs, employee handbook, and communications; ensures compliance.
• Completes all paperwork and documentation timely.
