Dollar General is seeking a store manager to oversee all store operations, staffing, and daily execution of processes from ordering to presentation. You will lead recruiting, training, evaluations, and policy enforcement to ensure outstanding customer service and store performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to labor laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for counseling or termination as needed.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinates meetings and events to uphold safety and policies.
• Ensures store is properly staffed and opened/closed each day; opens/closes at least twice weekly.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify trends, profitability, shrink, and errors.
• Manages ordering to meet stock targets; reviews weekly plans and inventory issues; handles BSR/cycle counts.
• Facilitates staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company processes.
• Ensures merchandise presentation, pricing and signage follow established practices.
• Maintains inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, paperwork and facility controls.
• Maintains cashier accountability, key control and cash-handling safety.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Maintains a clean, safe, organized store environment.
• Ensures tools and equipment are available to perform tasks.
• Adheres to SOPs, handbook, and company communications; ensures employee compliance.
• Completes all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines.
