Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation and selling while overseeing staffing and team development. You will recruit and train employees, conduct performance evaluations, and safeguard store operations through cash control, safety and policy adherence.

This role requires strong organization, inventory management and the ability to respond quickly to business trends and customer needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling, up to and including termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
