Job summary

• Ability to read and interpret documents and procedures.
• Strong mathematical calculation ability.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposits.
• Experience with IBM POS reports.
• Experience in inventory management and merchandising.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Recruiting, interviewing and compliance knowledge.
• Familiarity with cash, safety and access control policies.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel up to termination.
• Make recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate expectations and coordinate safety and policy meetings.
• Ensure proper staffing and opening/closing of the store.
• Personally open and close at least twice per week.
• Evaluate operating statements for trends and expense control.
• Manage inventory and reorder to meet in-stock targets.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and pricing accuracy.
• Maintain cashier accountability and security procedures.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized store.
