Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will oversee staffing, training, merchandising, cash control and customer service to ensure store performance and compliance with company policies.

You will hire and develop team members, monitor performance, drive sales, and maintain safe, clean and organized facilities while meeting in-stock targets and financial goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret store policies and procedures.
• Experience supervising staff and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling, deposits and POS reporting.
• Familiarity with inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recruit, train and evaluate employees.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and retain qualified employees while ensuring proper staffing levels.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations and address gaps or terminations as needed.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing levels and store opening/closing procedures.
• Monitor store performance, sales, shrink and in-stock targets; adjust plans accordingly.
• Lead customer service excellence and ensure a clean, safe shopping environment.
