Qualifications

• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination processes including legality.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and address gaps or counseling when needed.
• Recommend pay rate and advancement for employees.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; lead meetings on safety and policies.
• Open and close store as required with consistent coverage.
• Analyze operating statements for trends and opportunities in sales and profitability.
• Review ordering plans and inventory issues weekly; manage stock targets and cycle counts.
• Ensure merchandising presentation, pricing and signage align with standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory and enforce cash control procedures.
• Provide strong customer service leadership and a clean, safe shopping environment.
