Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, identify gaps, and counsel or terminate when needed.
• Make recommendations on employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings for safety.
• Open and close the store at least twice weekly.
• Evaluate operating statements for trends and opportunities; review ordering and inventory weekly.
• Facilitate staging, stocking and storage of merchandise per company processes.
• Ensure presentation, pricing and signage follow established standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; control damages and shrink.
• Ensure cashier accountability and cash control; maintain security practices.
• Provide superior customer service leadership; maintain a clean, safe store environment.
