Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store leader to manage daily operations, staffing, and merchandising at a Kansas location. You will recruit, train and evaluate employees, ensure accurate cash handling, and uphold safety and policy compliance.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, inventory oversight, and delivering strong customer service while driving sales and profitability in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience in retail preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire, train and evaluate staff in compliance with laws and policies.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and safety controls.
• Strong communication and leadership to manage store operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and execution of store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, shelving, pricing and merchandising.
• Recruit, train, evaluate, and retain store staff; address performance and conduct per policy.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and store opening/closing procedures each day.
• Monitor sales, profits, and inventory; review plans and counts weekly to meet targets.
• Uphold safety, security, and cash-control procedures; maintain a clean, safe shopping environment.
