Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager in Kansas City, KS to lead all store operations, oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising and staffing. You will drive sales through effective team leadership, training and adherence to company policies.

This role requires a proven track record in retail management, staffing, coaching, and cash handling, with a focus on safety and customer service. You will open/close the store, manage inventories, and ensure a clean, well-organized shopping

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience in retail.
• Knowledge of cash handling and inventory control.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and staff the store.
• Provide training and conduct evaluations.
• Manage pay rate recommendations and advancement.
• Communicate performance expectations and ensure safety.
• Open and close the store daily.
