Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting diagrams, safety rules, and procedures.
• Mathematical calculations including percentages and basic operations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Ability to operate a cash register and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance.
• Knowledge of store security policies and cash control procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Spanish language preference may apply at certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and implementation of store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, and selling.
• Staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and addressing gaps through counseling or termination if needed.
• Recommend pay rates and advancement opportunities; ensure staffing levels meet needs.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; lead meetings and safety initiatives.
• Open and close the store consistently as required.
• Monitor operating statements for trends, inventory targets, and shrinkage; manage BSR and cycle counts.
• Ensure proper staging, stocking, and presentation of merchandise; proper use of fixtures and pricing signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and cash accountability; uphold security procedures.
• Provide customer service leadership and maintain a clean, safe store environment.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
