Job summary

GameStop is seeking a Store Manager to oversee store operations and drive sales performance. You will lead a retail team, model exceptional guest service, and ensure a clean, well-organized shopping environment while implementing company initiatives and loss prevention practices.

You will recruit and develop associates, manage onboarding and scheduling, and coordinate with district leadership to meet sales objectives and profitability targets.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of retail management experience required.
• At least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management/leadership experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Store Manager will manage and lead in a multiunit capacity.
• Provide and model best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions quickly and courteously, assist with video gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, and promote selling behaviors.
• Support the total shopping environment including visual/operational elements and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
• Promote GameStop’s guest benefits, e.g., reservation and trade-in programs, and Pro Rewards.
• Recruit, interview, hire, assess, develop, and retain high-performing associates.
• Ensure onboarding and training are completed before opening/closing shifts; knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, and ethics.
