Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks an experienced Store Manager to lead all store operations, including hiring, training, staffing, and daily execution of processes. You will oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, and customer service with emphasis on policy compliance and safety.

The role includes opening and closing the store multiple times per week and driving performance through strong leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and staff the store.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations and address performance gaps.
• Recommend pay rates and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; lead meetings.
• Open and close the store at least twice weekly.
• Evaluate sales, profitability and inventory trends; manage ordering.
• Ensure accurate merchandising, pricing, and signage.
