Dollar General in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee all store operations, staffing, inventory, merchandising and customer service. You will lead training, evaluate performance, manage scheduling, ensure compliance with policies, and drive sales while maintaining a safe, inviting shopping environment.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem solving, with a focus on delivering value to customers and the community.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

• Recruit, select and retain staff per federal and state laws and company policy; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training for employees; conduct evaluations; identify gaps for coaching or termination as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rates and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings to enforce safety and policies.
• Ensure store is properly staffed and opened/closed each day.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, expenses and errors.
• Order to meet/exceed in-stock targets; review planning and inventory weekly.
• Facilitate efficient staging, stocking and storage of merchandise per company processes.
• Ensure merchandise presentation adheres to standards; manage pricing and signage.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash controls; manage damages and paperwork.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and maintain a clean, safe store environment.
• Follow SOPs and policies; ensure staff compliance and complete deadlines.
