Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages and basic arithmetic.

• Ability to perform cash register functions to generate reports.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for solutions and counseling.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinates meetings to ensure safety and policy adherence.
• Ensures store is adequately staffed and opened/closed as needed; occasional opening/closing duties.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends, profitability, shrink and errors.
• Orders to meet or exceed in-stock targets; reviews ordering plan and inventory issues weekly; handles BSR/cycle counts.
• Facilitates staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company processes.
• Ensures merchandise presentation, pricing and signage comply with standards.
• Maintains accurate inventory by controlling damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Ensures financial integrity through cash control and security practices.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Maintains a clean, safe and organized store.
• Ensures store is equipped with necessary tools and resources.
• Follows SOPs and company communications; ensures employee compliance.
• Completes all paperwork and documentation on time.
