Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures store is appropriately staffed and opened/closed each day.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends (sales, profitability, turn), expense control opportunities, and errors.
• Orders to meet or exceed in-stock targets; reviews ordering plan and inventory management issues weekly.
• Facilitates efficient staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company processes.
• Ensures merchandise is presented according to established practices; uses fixtures, pricing and signage.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Maintains cash control procedures and cashier accountability to ensure store financial integrity.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Maintains a clean, well-organized store; supports a safe and secure shopping environment.
• Ensures store tools and equipment are available to perform tasks.
• Follows SOPs and completes paperwork according to guidelines and deadlines.
