Job summary

Kohl’s is seeking a Store Manager to lead the entire store team, drive sales and profitability, and model Kohl’s customer service standards. You will coach associates, manage inventory and merchandising execution, and ensure operating policies are followed to deliver exceptional shopping experiences.

The role requires strong communication, decision-making, and people leadership with a focus on results, teamwork, and adherence to company guidelines across all store functions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience supervising 20 or more associates including performance management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven people management skills and ability to develop talent.
• Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Guide profitable sales and meet store financial plans through leadership of the store team.
• Achieve payroll plan by managing schedules and labor costs based on sales.
• Recruit, hire, pay and terminate store personnel.
• Manage associate relations and ensure policy compliance.
• Oversee training of new hires on Kohl’s culture and selling practices.
• Coach and develop associates and create succession plans.
• Ensure accurate inventory handling and pricing/signage compliance.
• Prevent loss through education and loss prevention partnership.
• Maintain compelling merchandising standards and floor replenishment.
• Deliver excellent customer service and a superior store experience.
