Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center seeks a Store Manager to create a pleasant work environment, ensure excellent customer relationships, and lead staff to meet sales and production budgets.

You will supervise hiring, trainings, scheduling, and payroll, while safeguarding assets and ensuring policy compliance across the store network. This role supports work therapy beneficiaries and reports to the Administrator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in sales preferred.
• Ability to lead, manage and motivate others.
• Ability to read and interpret simple income and expense reports.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable DMV record.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work in any ARC store location.

Responsibilities

• Create a pleasant, hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Ensure compliance to Store Operations manual and policies by all personnel.
• Meet sales, production, and expense budget goals to maintain a profitable operation.
• Ensure merchandise is properly displayed on the sales floor.
• Recruit, interview, and recommend applicants for employment to the Administrator or Supervisor.
• Conduct regular evaluations and provide training as necessary.
• Schedule staff, post weekly work schedules, and manage payroll information biweekly.
• Order merchandise to keep the store stocked and colorized per Rag Out Calendar.
• Oversee cash handling and banking; safeguard cash at all times.
• Report to Administrator on inspections and policy updates; attend manager meetings.
• Protect property, report hazards, and support work therapy beneficiaries.
