Caleres is seeking a Store Manager in Des Moines, IA. You will lead a store team, motivate associates, and deliver the best shoe store experience for families.

You’ll drive sales targets and growth, coach staff, and ensure operations run smoothly while staying current on fashion trends and product presentation. You’ll inspire a culture of exceptional customer service, manage staffing for peak periods, and leverage insights to improve results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–5 years of retail store management experience, specialty retail preferred.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and coach store associates at all levels.
• Strong communication and relationship-building within store teams.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the customer connection and lead the team to deliver excellent service.
• Lead talent discovery and build strong succession plans for leadership roles.
• Own retail operations, including pricing, shipments, inventory, and staffing to ensure smooth store performance.
