Job summary

Caleres is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Omaha, NE to lead the team in the absence of the Store Manager and deliver the best shoe store experience for families. You will motivate staff, manage daily operations, and drive sales while maintaining brand presentation and customer engagement.

You will coach and develop Associates, interview and train new hires, and model excellent customer service. This role promotes diversity, inclusion, and a strong store culture that aligns with Caleres’

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a team and drive sales growth.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Experience interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
• Strong communication and people development skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the Customer Connection and foster an engaging store culture.
• Champion talent discovery and collaborate with the Store Manager on hiring.
• Oversee retail operations and staffing levels to ensure smooth daily execution.
• Leverage insights to drive location performance and sales goals.
• Build a positive, inclusive team environment and lead by example.
• Serve as Store Manager’s right hand and ensure policy compliance and training.
