Job summary

GameStop is seeking a Store Manager to lead store operations and drive sales profitability. You will manage guest service, merchandising, and associate performance across the store as well as oversee daily financial tasks and loss prevention.

The role requires retail management experience, strong leadership, and a passion for gaming. Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred in business/marketing/merchandising.
• At least 1 year of retail management experience.
• At least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Store Manager will lead in a multiunit capacity where applicable.
• Provide best-in-class guest service; greet guests, answer questions, promote promotions and assist with gaming needs.
• Support the store environment and sales initiatives to drive guest loyalty and repeat business.
• Process guest purchases/returns using POS with accuracy and courtesy.
• Respond to guest questions by phone or in person with a professional greeting.
• Promote GameStop benefits like reservations, trade-ins, and Pro Rewards.
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and retain high-performing associates.
• Ensure onboarding and compliance training before shifts.
• Communicate with District Manager to implement store initiatives; train staff accordingly.
• Schedule staff while following guidelines and ensure adequate coverage.
• Approve payroll, time off, and edits; verify pay for time worked.
• Provide recognition and feedback; document performance in HR systems.
• Maintain neat, clean, organized store and merchandised fixtures.
