Job summary

Walgreens is seeking candidates for a Learning and Development program that prepares individuals to assume Store Manager responsibilities. The role blends front-end and pharmacy operations, with hands-on leadership and ongoing development through rotations in different store settings.

Candidates will complete classroom, online, and on-the-job training, earn pharmacy technician registration where required, and work toward permanent Store Manager readiness under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience, or high school diploma and 5 years retail management experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to transfer to Walgreens assets located in the same hiring area.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Store Manager and assist in leading store operations across front-end and pharmacy.
• Participate in accelerated development track toward Store Manager within the learning plan.
• Coach team on customer experience, SOPs, compliance, and loss prevention.
• Monitor performance metrics, assist in planning improvements, and execute store initiatives.
• Engage with customers and patients to ensure a positive shopping experience.
