Insomnia Cookies is hiring a Store Manager in Training at our New Huntington, WV location. This role leads as Manager-on-Duty, supervises 2–5 team members, conducts onboarding, and supports hiring, inventory, and scheduling.

The MIT will drive customer service excellence, upsell opportunities, and staff accountability, ensuring the store remains a fast-moving, trusted brand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail store.
• Experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly staff.
• Experience with POS systems and related software.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Applicant Tracking System.
• Ability to schedule shifts and manage daily staffing needs.
• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.

Insomnia Cookies is actively hiring for a full‑time hourly Store Manager in Training (MIT) at our New Huntington, WV store. You will be the captain of our bakery day or night and play a key role in leading a fast‑moving, nationally recognized brand.

About the role

As a Store Manager in Training you will serve as Manager‑on‑Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Ops Manager (GM) is absent. You will supervise, train, and coach 2‑5 team members, handle onboarding, conduct interviews for new hires, support ordering, inventory control and scheduling, hold staff accountable to company standards, and drive upselling and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform as Manager‑on‑Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present.
• Supervise, train and coach 2‑5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries.
• Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training.
• Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, Delivery Drivers) in the manager’s absence.
• Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control and scheduling.
• Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.).
• Upsell and maintain overall customer service excellence—ensuring all team members are also upselling and providing the best customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store.
• Prior experience conducting in‑person interviews of hourly support staff.
• Prior POS systems experience.
• Ability to utilize MS Office, Word and our Applicant Tracking System.
• Ability to work a 4‑5 day work week and 1‑2 mid‑to‑late shifts throughout the latter part of the week (Thurs‑Sun).
• Must be 18 years of age or older and have legal eligibility for employment in the United States.
