Insomnia Cookies is actively hiring for a full-time hourly Store Manager in Training (MIT) at our Durham store located at 1105 West Main Street Durham, NC 27701. We are seeking hospitality-focused individuals looking to join our industry-leading, rapidly growing, and nationally recognized company!

What will I do as a MIT with Insomnia Cookies?

• Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present.
• Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries.
• Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff.
• Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, and Delivery Drivers) in the manager's absence.
• Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling.
• Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies' standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.).
• Ensure all team members excel in upselling and providing excellent customer service.

Desired skills/experience:

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail store.
• Experience conducting in-person interviews for hourly support staff.
• Point of Sale (POS) systems experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Word, and our Applicant Tracking System.
• Ability to work a 4-5 day work week with 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thurs-Sun).
• Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible for employment in the U.S.
